Concert with the Brassband La Oliva de Salteras

I’m really looking forward to September 24th because the Spanish brassband “La Oliva de Salteras” has invited me to sing Robert Prizeman’s Ave María. It will be so wonderful to sing with this great musicians! The band will be directed by the Spanish director Irene Gómez Calado. The flamenco singer Manuel Berraquero will also be there.
We will perform at the Olivares Theater.

The Philharmonic Society of Our Lady of La Oliva de Salteras was founded in 1913. Currently, La Oliva de Salteras is one of the musical formations with the longest history of Sevillian music and a benchmark in many ways in the accompaniment of the processions of Holy Week in Seville and the province. Another facet of La Oliva de Salteras is the various symphonic concerts with various guest conductors such as Ángel López Carreño or Lucía Marín. In total, the Banda de La Oliva has released 17 albums.
To promote Andalusian culture, La Oliva de Salteras awards the Don Joaquín Award from the Order of Musical Arts of Andalusia, which is awarded to people or entities that have distinguished themselves for their work in favor of music and culture. There is also a youth band and a music academy where many children and young people are trained.
